Synopsis and Discussion
AQI levels are code GREEN, across the Triad, Monday. A backdoor cold front will drop through the Triad, late Monday afternoon, ushering in a slightly cooler, cleaner air mass for Tuesday and Wednesday. Ozone and particle pollution will remain code GREEN Tuesday and possibly Wednesday. While ozone is forecast to remain code GREEN, Wednesday, a few pockets of low code YELLOW can't be ruled out as ozone production begins to increase. High pressure will slide south and directly over the region, Thursday, leading to clear skies, warming temperatures, and an increasingly more stagnant air mass. Thus, code YELLOW ozone is expected to return to the area, Thursday, while particle pollution creeps up into the upper code GREEN range (GENTRY).
