Good air quality is being observed across the Triad to start the new workweek. We have settled into a hot, humid pattern that will continue through the rest of workweek. The best chance of afternoon storms looks to come today and the driest weather is expected on Wednesday. In general, increased cloud cover during the afternoon hours will help keep ozone levels in check and periodic rainfall should prevent fine particle concentrations from steadily building. As a result, AQI readings are expected to remain Code Green, peaking at the upper end of the range on Wednesday when the most sunshine will likely be realized. (Perrotte)
