Five Dollars to Forever Adoption Event Launches to Bring More Pets Home for the Holidays

Forsyth County Animal Shelter is excited to announce Five Dollars to Forever, a special, donor-sponsored adoption event designed to help cats and dogs find loving homes just in time for the holiday season.

From December 16-31, adoption fees for all available animals will be only $5, thanks to the generosity of our community donor, Eric Weyer who believes deeply in the power of second chances — and the magic that happens when the right family meets the right pet.

“Helping animals is hands down the most important thing in my life,” said Eric Weyer. “Being the reason for a dog having a second chance and happy ending story is the most joyous thing I can think of.”

The event will feature adoptable pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities — from snuggly couch potatoes to playful goofballs to cats with world-domination ambitions. All animals come with a voucher for spay/neuter, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to begin their happily-ever-after for the cost of just five dollars.
